i was browsing the nokia website for a week now looking for new phones with super capabilities. while doing that, i chanced upon a tab for online phone software updating. i was too eager to download it, connected my phone to my laptop, and then disaster came along…
after all the updating, the phone indicated that it is now ready to be used again. i couldn’t believe what i discovered. all my phone contents are gone, from phonebook entries, important texts, pictures, music, and everything you can think off. i froze and asked myself what i have done?!?
there was no notice at all to back-up. i thought that the software update will just operate as a patch, updating the contents but not totally formatting the phone memory. or i was too busy then that i didn’t notice such warning.
for all those curious nokia mobile phone users, with curiosity enough to cause disaster, always back-up your phone contents.
for now, i can’t be fully functional. im just waiting for friends and work contacts to send me a message so that i can rebuild my phone data.
